Here are some of my thoughts on the amazing Ursa Mini Pro 12K along with a video and a couple of Blackmagic RAW files could download and grade.

I tweaked some of the stills here. The sunset one in the middle has Blackmagic Gen 5 Extended Video as a base.

I did a lens test with on the Sigma Art 40 on the Ursa Mini Pro 12K a while back.

To me the lens is sharp—even when wide open—and has a very modern/clean aesthetic which I’m a big fan of. The pairing produces a very smooth, detailed but “precise” image.

I’m new to keyboards like this but it’s changed my workflow!

It’s built well, extremely easy to setup, and use.

I’m a big fan of the Ursa Mini Pro 12K’s anamorphic mode. There’s a massive amount of organic—yet smooth—detail that the sensor captures that pairs really well with the compression/distortion that anamorphic lenses bring.

The Nikon 85mm non-ai is a solid pairing though I’d like to try something like the Sigma Art 85mm. I find that the Art series pairs well with the ultra star since the Art’s are incredibly sharp which allow you to open up more than other pairings.

Using $1 store shower curtains to lightly diffuse the window alongside controlling via the 4x4. Some negative fill via 2x 36” x 36” floppies. There’s a Titan Tube in the background.
