A silly little poem I wrote about the life of a flower 🌹
The idea randomly popped into my head when I was cheering up a loved one in the hospital a few weeks ago.
That’s the thing about creative ideas.
They tend to come out of nowhere.
Usually when doing something so simple or completely mundane.
As you know, I’ve recently become obsessed with blogging, which has rekindled my love for writing.
Lately I’ve found myself wanting to write just to write—random thoughts in my journal, silly little poems, etc.
So something I’ve been really into that’s been contributing to my creativity is practicing the art of creating just for the fun of it.
So if you’re currently feeling uninspired, or struggling to flex that creative muscle, I encourage you to find something outside of your creative business that brings you JOY.
Something just for YOU—not for work, not to sell, but just because it *feels good*
I challenge you to carve out 5-10 minutes a day to nurture that passion.
You might be surprised at the impact it will have on boosting your mood, creativity, and overall happiness.
Annnnd in case you were wondering…
No, I’m not a poet, and yes, the format might be all wrong, but who cares?! Haha
Let’s start normalizing the joy of creating just to create!
And if you like it, please leave a comment to let me know because ngl, this did feel just a smidge vulnerable to share. haha!

Road trippin’ and reminiscin’ in a place I used to call home 🤍
Have you ever revisited a place you used to live that had such a profound impact on your life that it’s almost impossible to put into words?
For me, that’s Seattle.
My partner and I moved there a year after we got married and grew up in so many ways.
It’s a place where I worked my first “real” job.
It’s where we adopted Angus.
It’s where I met one of my closest friends.
It’s where I started to believe that anything was possible.
It’s where I felt like I could truly be…well, me.
At the time I didn’t realize just how massive of an impact this city would have on my very being.
When you’re “in” it it’s hard to see the life you’re creating and the mundane little moments that start to build your character that you’ll look back on years later with such fondness.
Every time we visit, my heart skips a beat when I see the first glimpse of the city skyline from the freeway.
A warm fuzzy feeling enters my body as we take exit 167 and that indescribable sense of HOME washes over me.
It’s been 7 years since we moved, but a piece of my heart will always belong to this city.
Visiting her is like reconnecting with an old friend.
She welcomes me with a smile, a hint of melancholy in her eyes, and the comforting smell of coffee surrounding her.
We’ve both changed since we last saw each other, but it doesn’t matter. We just pick up where we left off, like no time’s passed at all.
And as I drive away, I’m filled with the reassuring thought that it’s never really a goodbye, but rather a ‘see you later’.

We love a TLC moment, but when was the last time you showed some to your brand? 👀
I know it can be difficult to prioritize your own brand when you have a million and one things going on in your business.
That’s why I made it easy for ya with a short and sweet list of things you can do this month to show your brand a lil love along with some questions to ponder.
01. Revisit Your Brand’s Messaging: to ensure it’s still aligned with your mission, vision, and values. Remind yourself of your “why”.
02. Audit Your Visual Identity: i.e. refresh website images, update marketing materials, like templates used on social media, your email platform, etc.
03. Get Organized: Spend 30 mins organizing your branding assets by archiving any old logos, templates, photos etc. into a separate folder.
04. Engage Your Community: spend some time thinking of ways you can encourage engagement online and IRL.
05. Collaborate: spend some time thinking of who you would love to collaborate with this year. This doesn’t just have to be potential clients, but can also be peers in your industry.
Still feel like your brand could use some extra love, but not sure where to start? That’s where I come in!
Check out my minimalist branding experience—a transformation intensive where we dive deep into your brand to clarify your messaging and create a killer visual identity all in just one week!

Does your brand make you weak in the knees? Because it should… 👀
Let’s face it, if you’re not head over heels for your own brand, how can you expect others to be?
As difficult as it may feel, it’s sooooo important to prioritize your own brand—tbh, it should be your main squeeze if you catch my drift 😉
So, here’s a lil gut check to see if your brand still gives you butterflies…
1️⃣ PASSION: is the passion you have for your brand still alive and well?
2️⃣ CONNECTION: do you feel a strong emotional connection to your brand and your community?
3️⃣ PRIDE: are you proud of your brand’s messaging and visuals because they accurately represent you?
4️⃣ CREATIVITY: do you feel inspired by and love expressing your creative ideas through your current branding?
5️⃣ VISION: do you have a clear plan for your brand’s growth and evolution?
If you had a difficult time answering any of these questions, it might be time to consider a rebrand.
Ready to reignite that spark? I’m currently booking branding projects for February and beyond ✨
I’d love to help bring your vision to life so you can fall back in love with your brand.

It needed to be said 👀
Complaining that you 'don't have time' only sugar-coats your struggle to commit to yourself and your goals. It's easy to blame TIME for poor planning when the real issue is COMMITMENT.
Yes, tasks take time—especially the difficult ones. But the funny thing is, when you're committed to your long-term vision, you'll always find the time.
Reflecting on my marathon training journey earlier this year, time was constantly on my mind. Planning workouts, routes, meals… a marathon is a colossal time commitment, but my big-picture vision of crossing that finish line made me wake up daily and recommit.
🏃♀️ There were (maaaany) days I didn't feel like running, but the COMMITMENT to my goal kept me going. This applies to ANY goal you're chasing.
Setting intentions is just the start—but commitment…THAT is the real marathon. You have to remind yourself of your vision and actively recommit each day.
Here’s my top tips for staying committed to your goals:
1️⃣ Set your intention + commit wholeheartedly to your vision.
2️⃣ Create a daily schedule + stick to it.
3️⃣ Break up your goals into smaller actionable steps.
4️⃣ Set boundaries—aka PROTECT YOUR TIME.
5️⃣ Put it in writing—you’re more likely to follow through.
So, let's stop blaming time and start auditing our commitment, Mmm k? K.
Need help breaking down your goals and staying committed to your big-picture vision? I got you! 🫶🏻

BUUUUT everyone is doing it 👀
I know it feels like everyone and their mother is running a Black Friday sale—I have the emails to prove it 🫠
I’m here to remind you that if it’s not authentic to you and your business, then don’t feel the pressure to participate.
I get it, it’s the biggest marketing push of the year. The temptation to hop on the Black Friday bandwagon is real.
But if, like us, you're not into the whole more-is-more chaos of Black Friday, release yourself from that pressure.
At our core, we're all about authenticity. Unnecessary stress, ick marketing tactics, and that whole mass consumerism, thing? Not our style.
We're into sustainability, consciousness, and making a positive impact. Black Friday just doesn't align with our mission so we’re choosing to unsubscribe.
Now, no shade if Black Friday is your thing. I know plenty of entrepreneurs who are leading with intention and that's great!
My point is, if it doesn't feel authentic to YOU, your business, and your values, ignore that noise—despite what the internet is telling you.
Here's my survival guide for getting through the season as a biz owner AND a consumer:
❌ If it doesn't align, unsubscribe from the pressure.
❌ Just because it's on sale, doesn't mean you need it.
❌ If it puts you in debt, it's not worth it.
The holiday season is stressful enough, so don't let the pressure force you into something that doesn't feel right. My advice? Reflect, finish the year strong, and give yourself the gift of REST.
Feeling FOMO? Take a step back and ask yourself why. There might be more going on beneath the surface. Impulse decisions fueled by emotions usually lead to regrets. Trust me.
Sending you all the calming vibes ✨🫶🏻

Introducing Zuzu’s Petals, an artisan flower shop in Brooklyn, NY, known for crafting unique floral arrangements for every occasion.
They prioritize local and sustainable florals, using creative, seasonal, and one-of-a-kind designs 💐
The brand name was inspired by the iconic film “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and our goal was to create a classic and timeless brand identity with a modern twist that is as unique as the florals they create.
How did we do?
This project is part of our Minimalist Branding Package, a week-long intensive where we dive deep into your business to help you uncover your “why” and transform your vision into a cohesive visual identity that aligns with you and your mission ✨
