I like doing pouring ‘sketches’ just to try color combos, mixes, additives, etc. My daughter likes to nick them for her room now and then and since her favorite color is teal, I tried a little dirty pour on 9x12 chipboard.

First painting in what feels like forever. The 3rd one I’ve been able to do this past 33 days. I had a medical issue that required a pretty invasive surgery and it has taken longer than I expected to recover.
Aside from the pain of the surgery itself, I experienced what referred to as pain medication depression. What a horrible experience. Not being able to be physically active at all and having to rely on my family to take care of practically EVERYTHING was very difficult for me.
But here I am, on the other side, grateful for all the support I’ve had from friends, family, people I’ve met here on instagram and a few strangers.
Today I marched into the studio and created just a small, simple pour in order to break the seal on getting started painting again. I have so many ideas and inspiration that I’ve collected over the past month and I am very excited to get back at it.

Testing different paint mixes, materials and combos for a reverse flower dip. It’s the first time I’ve been able to paint in a couple of weeks so it felt great to get back into the studio.
I felt like the blue attempt was more successful but will keep testing! Inspired by Fiona Art.

Sometimes we try new things. New pouring mediums, new cell activators. Sometimes we name our paintings “Fairy Vomit”. This was my last painting for a couple weeks as I am having a surgery tomorrow, so I wanted to experiment today. Looking forward to seeing all your guys’ beautiful work while I am recovering. 😘😚

A very fun pumpkin paint pour my 8 year old daughter did, she was so inspired by and their son! She used the runoff and extra paint to do a little Halloween pour as well.

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, here’s a little pink and purple detail from a recent painting. Swipe to see the whole piece.

I’ve noticed a lot of artists come up with super cool names for their paintings, like ‘Saturn’s Daydream’ or ‘Othello’s Muse’ or whatnot. I call this one ‘WTF happened here’. BUT there is no failure, just lessons learned. Like, a LOT of lessons.
Apologies to for abusing his amazing acrylic paints like this. Those colors pop tho!

I love a painting that, unlike myself, has a clear sense of direction. 😏

Today on INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS’ DAY, I am posting this piece with everything I love in a painting- negative space, metallics and chaos! .

This Halloween vibe belongs on a wall! It’s so fun to state the obvious 🤣🤣 Guys, I’m just not that deep today.

I’ve certainly been thinking pink lately. This piece needed a slash of color so I added some watermelon pigment and it ended up looking decidedly topographical.
