“Stacking” is all the rage with bracelets, rings and necklaces these days but my fave stacking addition: a bandana scarf!
Softens up your look and makes you feel like you’re on an adventure in your everyday. It’s an easy way to add a pop of color (pink version from in our stories!) and it won’t get caught in your other necklaces so you can stack away without the tangle!
Fold your bandana into a triangle, then fold length wise until it’s as this as you can make it. Tie a tight knot in the center, twist either end in opposite directions and tie to your desired length then VOILA! You’re on your way to a fun day with a leveled up spin on a classic look!

The special little lady on the left turned 6 today!
She’s been in our building literally her whole life. Many of you remember her as the tiny little baby in the carrier on my chest when we had our children’s store. When she was 10 months old, she used to stand at our front door and say “Hi doooogggs” to every puppy that passed and “Hi there!!” as people walked into the store. She graduated to the adorable chair that hooked onto the counter next to the register and while we checked you out, she would babble her version of small talk.
As the years went on and our building grew and changed, so did she. We opened last October and watching her see her name on the window the first time was one of my most favorite things in life. She loves being in the store, talking to customers, she loves fashion and telling people what her favorite “looks” are. She swears she and her best friend, Viv will grow up and have a shop of their own - although she says the shop will have dolphins, so like, maybe that part will need a little workshopping, I don’t know...
This place has helped shape her. She came into this world a huge personality on her own, but this place has really become a part of her. A lot of that if because of all of you! The people that come in and remember her and say hello, ask her how she’s doing or how school is. It’s given her such confidence in herself. She believes in friendship and relationships and it shows everyday. She asked a girl in the ice cream line today if she wanted to be friends. They had been standing next to each other for 8 seconds. She watches you all come in and become part of her life and she takes that with her everywhere she goes. I wish we could all have that quality.
Clearly I’m feeling extra sappy and mommy today, but I just just wanted to share. I love you all a lot. Thank you for loving my girl a lot. She loves you all right back.

Empowered women empower women.
About an hour ago, the founder of popped in to the shop to chat about next season’s colors and styles and we started talking about her growth. The conversation moved thru ways that we could work together: her frequent pop-ups becoming more permanent in our building, joining a spring event in a couple weeks, she’s already moved her creative space into my woodshop down the street so we can create together, so we talked about starting creative art evenings for other women in our community so they can also get together and vibe. We laughed about a night a few weeks ago when we met at the (also female owned) to talk shop and brainstorm and we ran into , the owner of .kids, and all discussed ways to collaborate together. By just opening up ourselves to supporting each other’s creativity, magic has started happening!
As Ale, , walked out it occurred to me: these stories happen all the time. I almost take for granted how grateful I am for the frequency of these events. How grateful I am to the amazing women who surround us. From Cindy, at partnering on the vision for , to the women at the who continue the QA small business legacy that their own mama paved for us all, to my favorite showroom, , founded by the incredible and who makes me laugh every time they fill my shop up with other incredible lines founded mainly by women. Not to mention YOU - the incredible women we get to build relationships and friendships with every day. You are coming in to support our female founded and staffed little dream and that never goes unnoticed.
These stories are frequent. And they deserve their time in the sun. You - women - are incredible. And when we come together, there is literally nothing we cannot do.
