Tip of the day: If you purchase a phone from Ebay, good ol CL, amazon, or any other third party website; ask the seller to provide you with the IMEI # then go to Swappa.com or another source to check to see if the phone has been reported as lost or stolen. You'll not only save your time but more importantly your money. I have had way too many customers come in and not be able to get service because they purchased lost stolen and even phones with iCloud locks on phones.
