Our young scholars began their academic journey this week during the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Pre-K Readiness Program at Paige Elementary Community School!

Thrilled to announce that Schenectady City School District was named CarePortal Agency of the Year last night! 🏆 This honor speaks volumes about the power of community partnership and collaboration. CarePortal, Justice For Orphans, Liberty Church and many other local churches and organization help support our students and families through this amazing partnership! ☀️

Members from the SCSD Community Schools Team, Department of Innovation, Equity and Engagement, and Dr. JoAnne Ferrara are spending the day learning about best practices for Community Schools at the NYS Community Schools Resiliency and Equity Conference.

This morning Keane Elementary, Paige Elementary, MLK Elementary and Hamilton Elementary hosted Community Schools Site Visits for attendees for the NYS Community Schools Conference. Our schools shined as they showcased the transformative work that we’re doing together! ☀️
