Historic tall ship ELISSA to dock in Savannah during national Sail250 tour. The vessel will dock along River Street Waterfront July 23-26, offering free public deck tours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all days.

Organizers say the visit marks a meaningful return for the ship, which previously stopped in Savannah in 1894.

The ELISSA is one of only three ships of its kind in the world still actively sailing. The vessel serves as the Official Tall Ship of Texas and is recognized as a National Historic Landmark.

Visitors will have the chance to explore the ship up close and learn about its maritime history and restoration journey.

A “Salute to Sunset Party” is also planned for July 25 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring food, drinks and music. You must register for this event.

The 45th annual SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival is scheduled for April 2026, held during the SCAD Family and Alumni Weekend in Savannah, Georgia. Students, alumni, and prospective students will transform the sidewalks of Forsyth Park into vibrant chalk art masterpieces. The event typically features food, music, and prizes for top creations.

The weekend runs from Friday, April 24, to Sunday, April 26, 2026.

NOGS Tour of Hidden Gardens
April 17 and 18, 2026

This special Tour unlocks the garden gates of selected private gardens and historic gardens for self-guided exploration. Ticket holders will enjoy springtime gardens located in Savannah’s Landmark Historic District, which is the largest in the United States. All the gardens are located in the area North of Gaston Street (NOGS) to the Savannah River. As part of the Tour, guests are invited to a sampling of Entertaining Savannah Style at the Harper-Fowlkes House, on Orleans Square. It is one of the South’s finest examples of Greek Revival architecture. Proceeds from the Tour are donated to garden-related organizations throughout the Savannah area thanks to your generous support. Garden Club of Savannah: Sharing the Art of Southern Hospitality with our guests for nearly 50 years.
