This year commemorates the 25th anniversary of purchasing our Sonoma estate in the Mayacamas Mountain Range–a time capsule etched with a spectrum of life’s greatest achievements and challenging obstacles, each moment embraced with perseverance and dedication.

The vineyard has become our timekeeper, a friend that measures the years and keeps us company through each new chapter. As the vineyard reaches milestones, we also recognize changes within our vineyard family. Members of our dedicated team have raised their families on this land, and some have cultivated new expertise in their roles, all while tending to the estate.

The vineyard has been a steady witness, and our estate Cabernet Sauvignon helps us celebrate it all. True to its lineage, our 2022 vintage displays remarkable poise and presence — a wine we will reach for in celebration of the past and with excitement for the future.

At 3AM this morning, the 2025 harvest season commenced with two tons of Chardonnay at our mountaintop estate. Embracing our traditions, we toasted with Champagne and gathered as a team for breakfast, refueling our bodies before heading to the winery to transform this fruit into wine.

Courtship encapsulates the union of winemaker and vineyard—a dance throughout the seasons—resulting in a wine that tells this tale of collaboration, surrender, and supreme beauty.

The 2022 Courtship is a lush and vibrant expression of our estate’s bountiful young vines, a wonderful companion for summer gatherings. Showcasing energetic, bright fruit and smooth tannins, this Cabernet is rewarding in its youth and has become a wine we reach for again and again.

We were thrilled to open 's newsletter yesterday and find this lovely photo of with our Director of Winemaking and Viticulture, Elizabeth Tangney, from their recent tasting. Courtney and .wine tasted an impressive 397 wines for their 2022 Sonoma report, including our 2022 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, which they called "a muscular, ageworthy wine of stunning complexity – violets, cherries, blackberries and bay laurel on the nose; a broad, structured palate with mouthwatering freshness; and abundant yet velvety tannins that promise a long life ahead."⁠
