DNA evidence error in Rohnert Park killing prompts mistrial. Could other local cases be affected? The snafu, which officials have said was caused by human error, led to last week’s mistrial in a local homicide case that has taken more than eight years to make its way to trial.

I may be injured and out of action right now, but I still want my Sonoma County peeps to know that I endorse Kristine Burk for judge. Take it from me, It’s important to have a judge on the bench who has years of experience in these courts. She is knowledgeable and fair and would make a great judicial officer. Go vote!
