In celebration of the start of new school year, join other Madrone families Friday, August 21st from 5-7 pm at Madrone's lunch tables. Bring your own dinner. Kona Ice will be available for purchase. The Madrone community is excited to meet our new families.

First day of school comes with a lot of emotions for us all. You deserve a little something after that school drop-off!
Once the kids are safely off to school, come join us for coffee, pastries, and a chance to ease into your morning without kiddos.

See you tomorrow, in the square between gym/cafeteria and office. School starts at 8:10. Friendly reminder to leave early because parking will be a challenge.

El primer día de clases trae consigo muchas emociones para todos. ¡Te mereces un pequeño detalle después de dejar a los niños en la escuela!
Una vez que los niños hayan llegado bien a la escuela, acompáñanos a tomar un café y comer algo rico; será una buena oportunidad para comenzar la mañana con calma y sin los pequeños.

Nos vemos mañana en la plazoleta situada entre el gimnasio/cafetería y la oficina. Las clases empiezan a las 8:10. Te recordamos que salgas con tiempo, ya que encontrar estacionamiento será complicado.

Did you hear? Madrone no longer has shortened school days. Let out is the same everyday. That means no shortened Wednesdays like previous years. Yay.

Our Walkathon event, October 2nd, is our biggest fundraiser event of the year. It is not possible without our fabulous community sponsors. Besides having your business spotlighted on our page, our sponsors logos will be on the back of the walkathon shirts. Each student at Madrone receives a student designed shirt for the big event, that's hundreds of kids wearing shirts that show your business' commitment to our community. WANTED: DJ (No experience required)
Have you always dreamed of standing behind the DJ booth, dropping beats, and watching a crowd go wild? Well... this is your moment.
Our Run the Rainbow Walkathon is looking for a Volunteer DJ to keep the energy high with fun, family-friendly music while our students walk, dance, and have an amazing time!
No professional experience needed. No equipment necessary.
A great playlist ( which we can provide) and a love of fun are all it takes.
Bonus points if you've ever secretly pretended your kitchen was a nightclub.
Help us turn our Walkathon into the hottest event of the year.

The Walk-a-Thon committee is hard at work planning for Madrone's biggest event of the year. This year's theme is Run the Rainbow and is sure to be fun while raising money for Madrone's PTA. During the event, we have a fabulous auction. The committee is looking for donations for this great event. Our annual walkathon is set for October 2nd. Get ready to be covered in color as we run laps, play games, eat Kona ice and listen to some jams!

Our 6th graders painted the ball wall today! They came up with a theme that welcomes all our new Whited students and families to Madrone! Looking forward to meeting new families on Thursday afternoon. Welcome to the Mustang herd!

To end the week with our biggest show of appreciation, students will share kind words by passing out guided compliment cards (or writing their own) and then pass them out to teachers and staff. The compliment cards came home last week in school packets. Can't find it, no worries we have been there too, students can write their own on any paper of their choosing. Share the love this Friday!

Para cerrar la semana con nuestra mayor muestra de agradecimiento, los estudiantes compartirán palabras amables repartiendo tarjetas de elogio guiadas (o escribiendo las suyas propias) para luego entregarlas a los maestros y al personal escolar. Estas tarjetas de elogio se enviaron a casa la semana pasada dentro de los paquetes escolares. Si no logran encontrarlas, ¡no se preocupen! A todos nos ha pasado; los estudiantes pueden escribir sus propios mensajes en cualquier hoja de papel que elijan. ¡Compartan el cariño este viernes!
