Taylor Merrill Training

Madilyn (Meggan Casarotti) and her mare “Sheza Frosty Belle” aka Bella laid down a smokin run today to end up 6th in the 1D at b***s n barrels. Great job Madilyn!

Taylor and “Hay Drop Of Frosty” aka Ty had a great weekend at the rodeo but just had a little tough luck both days. They were not able to pull off a repeat championship but they did place 3rd in the first go of poles and 3rd in the second go of barrels. Ty is by “MP Haypatch Tiger” (PC Frenchmans Hayday x Rose Patch) and out of “JW Drop Of Luck” (Trapper Bar Drop x Baldy Sox Jaye). We have received a lot of inquiries about purchasing this horse over the years but have always rebuffed them. We have to decided to offer him for sale TO THE RIGHT HOME. If you have been interested in this gelding in the past please reach out to us.

Kayla Turner and her gelding “Dunit Like A Twister” aka Twister really showed up to make a great run in round 1 of the barrels taking home second place. They had some tough luck in round round 2 but they also brought home some money in the pole bending!

Amanda Kolberg’s horse Rio unfortunately suffered an injury leading up to the rodeo so she needed something to jump ride and we agreed to let her bring one of our brood mares/lesson horses “RoosterShinyNicABoon” aka Daisy and these two had a great weekend! Daisy didn’t bat an eye at the rodeo chaos and put together four really solid runs, earning 5th place today in both barrels and poles! Amanda did a great job 👏🏻

We have to take a moment to brag on Kay Carson and her mare sunshine who won both go rounds in the poles this weekend at the Best buck in the Bay Gay Rodeo, and placed in both rounds of the barrels brining home over $500 in winnings and a beautiful new belt buckle! These two have had a really good year. They both handled the rodeo scene so well! So much chaos but they just buckled down and went to work.

June and “Caits First Down” aka Vader winning the race at Sebastopol Wranglers today, both the Open and the Youth. These two have come such a long way together.

Last season was bitter sweet, Taylor and “Hay Drop Of Frosty” aka Ty got the closest they have been yet to making Hall of Fame needing only 5 runs. 2 of those 5 runs they needed were in figure 8 flag so naturally their very first time towards their Hall of Fame run this year was an 11.3 flags! Ty is by “MP Haypatch Tiger” (PC Frenchmans Hayday x Rose Patch) and out of “JW Drop Of Luck” (Trapper Bar Drop x Baldy Sox Jaye”

Mason and “Jetta Turbo Dragon” aka Jetta are really starting to come together as a team. Jetta is a mare that we have been holding on to for years of unsuccessful breeding attempts but we haven’t been able to let her go or sell her. It’s been awesome to see her getting the attention she deserves. Jetta is by ”Firewater Dragon” ( Fire Water Flit x Ima Cruisin) and out of “Hawks Excell” (Hawkish x Excella)
