I entered one of my prints in a Marian themed art show in San Francisco recently. I was honored to have my babies come to see it for their first art show. I believe children are never too young to enjoy the art scene!

It's been a minute since I last posted here. With quarantine, and all the live music being canceled, my inspiration and motivation to get out there and shoot was gone. (Also, I've been preoccupied with other life developments. 😉) But I did have a few opportunities to shoot first communions and confirmations at my parish.

This photo was taken after a gig I did last week for the where I shot their children. They were adorable! 👰🤵💒🍷🍞

I probably won't be active for quite a while as I tend to the family. Perhaps I will go through the archives and edit some photos that I never got around to.

When you're sheltering at home, it's nice having decor that is calming.

Photographer's art captures 'otherworldliness' of Fatima A recent art exhibition by a Santa Rosa-based photographer tried to capture the experience of witnessing Fatima’s Miracle of the Sun.

Saturday night was something special. At the premiere of my Visions of Fatima collection, so many friends came out to support me, I reconnected with artists I had met last year, met new artists, and had wonderful encounters with art patrons. Visions of Fatima is a collection of photographic images inspired by the celestial phenomenon known as the Miracle of the Sun that occurred in Fatima, Portugal on October 13, 1917 and is associated with coinciding apparitions of the Virgin Mary. 🌤🌈🌹

The subject of these abstract prismatic works is a statue of Our Lady of Fatima, which is another name for the Virgin Mary, given after she appeared in Fatima. With the use of a light prism, I explore how light refractions and vibrant colors create an impression of otherworldliness, evoking a sense of wonder and awe that thousands of witnesses of the Miracle of the Sun experienced.
