What does independence mean to you?

For many Veterans, independence isn't just something they fought to protect—it's something they are personally working to rebuild.

Independence means having:
• A stable place to sleep.
• A warm meal on the table.
• A job to go to in the morning.
• Support to heal and move forward.

Our services help Veterans regain stability, self-sufficiency, and hope for the future. But we can't do it without your help.

Food insecurity affects far too many of the men and women who have served our nation. Together, we can make a difference—one meal, one family, and one act of kindness at a time.

Many Veteran families in Prescott, Arizona are struggling to put food on the table, and we need your help to fill our food pantry.

We're currently seeking donations of nonperishable food items such as:

• Boxed and canned foods
• Pasta and rice
• Cereal and oatmeal
• Granola bars and snacks
• Bottled water
• Pet food
• Other shelf-stable essentials

This Saturday, June 6th, join us at Day of Gratitude in Las Vegas — a free event celebrating Veterans, Service Members, First Responders, and their families.

The event features a live concert, a patriotic awards ceremony honoring our nation's heroes, on-site supportive services from Nation's Finest and other nonprofit organizations, and gratitude gifts for attendees.

As America approaches its 250th Anniversary this summer, Nation’s Finest is continuing our 250 for 250 Campaign — a nationwide effort to raise $250,000 by July 4 to expand essential services for Veterans and their families.

Every day, Nation’s Finest meets Veterans where they are with compassionate, practical support that helps them move forward with dignity and hope. This campaign is a chance to honor 250 years of American independence by directly supporting the people who helped protect it.

Creating opportunities for our Veterans to stay active, connected, and engaged is an important part of life at Mather Veterans Village.

Twice each week, our team hosts a gym group where residents visit a local Planet Fitness. Our staff also assists residents with enrolling in the Silver Sneakers program (a free fitness and wellness program for adults 65+ that is included with many Medicare and Medigap plans) or signing up for a low cost traditional gym membership.

We are honored to help our Veterans feel empowered, build healthy routines, and to support one another in achieving their wellness goals.

Next week, Nation’s Finest will be tabling at Day of Gratitude in Las Vegas, an event dedicated to ensuring that every Veteran, Service Member, First Responder, and their families feel seen, celebrated, and supported.

Over Memorial Day weekend, our community gathered in Carson City for the Stars & Stripes Scramble to help raise funds for services that help local Veterans feel safe, seen, and strong.

A heartfelt thank you to Empire Ranch Golf Course for hosting this incredible event and for choosing Nation's Finest - Northern Nevada as the event's charity partner.

We also want to recognize the Carson City High School ROTC Cadets and volunteers from Just Serve who gave their time to help make the day run beautifully.

To everyone who joined us on Saturday—on the greens, at the BBQ luncheon, or at the raffle tables—thank you for standing with Veterans.

For the families of Veterans, every day can feel like Memorial Day.

Not all loss happens on the battlefield. Some families watched their loved one come home changed by war, only to lose them slowly to illness, isolation, and the invisible weight they carried back from places most of us will never go.

This Memorial Day, we honor not only those we’ve lost, but the families who continue living with that loss every single day. If you know a Veteran, a surviving spouse, or a military family who may be struggling — check in. One conversation can matter more than you know.
