Every winery has someone who knows exactly what's happening with every vintage.

At DeLoach, that's often Katie.

While guests are enjoying a tasting outside, Katie is in the cellar following each lot as it develops, tasting through barrels, asking questions, and making hundreds of small decisions that most people never see. It's patient work, and it's rarely glamorous, but it's one of the reasons every bottle reflects the care that went into making it.

The next time you visit, don't be surprised if you spot her walking through the cellar with a wine thief in one hand and a notebook in the other.
