A testament to her dedication, skill, and unwavering commitment to the Cardinal Newman Girls Varsity Basketball program.

I’ve had the privilege of witnessing Coach Mertle’s basketball program flourish since 2011. Under her leadership, Cardinal Newman has not just competed but consistently set new benchmarks of success. Every year, Coach Mertle manages to raise the bar even higher, nurturing a winning tradition that grows stronger with each passing season.

Coach Mertle’s approach goes beyond just tactics and plays; she builds character, instills discipline, and fosters a family among her teams. Her influence stretches far beyond the court, impacting lives and shaping futures.
