Why do people let they’re small dogs sit on their lap when they drive?!? Does anyone hate this as much as I do? Today I saw a “pet taxi service” allow, allowing a dog to sit on the driver’s lap with his head hanging out the window. I would never pay someone to transport my dog if I knew that this was a choice an employee or owner would make with an animal in their care. So many things can go wrong. Am I crazy here? What do you think?

Meet Winny. This 18 month old Siberian Husky/McNabb/American pitbull mix is in need of a new home. She was recently adopted out of the shelter,as a 4 year old lab mix, to a senior citizen. Her adopted owner loves her dearly, but realizes she is in over her head.
We all know shelters are doing the best they can, but visually identifying breeds had never been a reliable method of identification. Regardless, here we are, and Miss Winny is ready for adventure not for the early bird special.
She seems to have had training before and readily offers sit and down. She walks well on a leash when using a head collar, but will pull otherwise. Her zoomies on leash are what provide a high risk behavior for her senior owner but for the average owner, it’s an easy fix with some training.

It’s amazing what you can get done when you put your mind to it. Spent a few days in LV with my dear friend and amazing dog owner .tannman getting his new puppy up and running. The world would be a better place if more dog owners were like Steve. Putting in the reps now so he has a great dog when she grows up. So much fun. Until next time…
