SANTA ROSA NINETY-NINES
Aviation Scholarship

Purpose: To provide funding to be used for a specific rating or certification to further the recipient’s pursuit of a career in aviation.

Award Amount: $5,000

Eligibility: Any women at least 17 years of age, holding at minimum a current private license, a current medical, and a current flight review. Must reside within 150 miles of the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport, be eligible for the rating being applied for (i.e. number of flight hours required, rating required, medical required) and have completed any written requirements for the rating before funds are dispersed.

Tomorrow, May 30th, Sonoma Jet Center will be hosting a Challenge Air Fly Day. Challenge Air is a nonprofit that was created to change the perception of children with special needs through the gift flight.

This Saturday, May 16, step into the danger zone at the Top Gun Edition of Open Cockpit Saturday at the Pacific Coast Air Museum!
From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, get an up-close look inside some of the legendary fighters that defined the Top Gun era. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to explore the inner workings of iconic military aircraft including the F-14 Tomcat, A-4 Skyhawk, F-16 Viper, and F-5E Tiger.
Whether you’re a lifelong aviation enthusiast, a future pilot, or just looking for an unforgettable family outing, this is your chance to experience the sights, sounds, and history of these legendary jets like never before.
