This is true for most of us. For me right now quiet time and I figure out what is next. There comes a time when you need to reflect and see what your part is in all of this. I confess I am tired and have to be patient with myself.

Its all about accepting and letting go. I cried, it was just what I needed to see. I am letting go and trying to fly in new and better ways.

Dear Friends, fans, followers and listeners,A Fond Farewell to Women’s Spaces Radio

There comes a time in life when we recognize that one chapter is ending and another is ready to begin.

At 86, I have decided to retire from broadcasting, begin writing my memoirs, and embrace a slower pace of life. After many wonderful years of conversations, stories, music, and voices that deserved to be heard, Women’s Spaces Radio will come to an end with our final broadcast on August 10, 2026.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to my co-producer, engineer, webmaster, and dear friend, Ken Norton, who has shared this journey with me and helped make Women’s Spaces possible and hosted our segment, Men's Spaces.

I am also grateful to all of our guests, listeners, supporters, and the many women and men who trusted us with their stories and ideas. You have made this program far more than a radio show—you have made it a community. Thank you to the National Women's History Alliance, I stole their idea and introduced the segment Our History is Our Strength.

Leaving broadcasting is bittersweet. There is sadness in saying goodbye, but also excitement about what comes next. I look forward to writing my memoirs and having more time to read, garden, travel, cook, and simply enjoy life.

It has been a privilege to serve this community. As we pledged during the final show of every month on Women's Spaces,

I leave you with the Women's Spaces Pledge:
"My self-esteem does not depend on anything outside of me. My self-esteem depends on my relationship with myself and my Higher Power..."

I just love Steve Harvey. He warms my heart and makes me laugh. I confess I love Family Feud.
