Santa Rosa Southeast Greenway Campaign
We are a community effort to develop a vibrant urban greenway on the 2-mile stretch of open space that links Spring Lake Park to downtown Santa Rosa.
Currently owned by Caltrans and unavailable for public use for over 50 years, the property may become available for sale in the near future. Our community has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire the land and create a vibrant urban greenway for residents and visitors to enjoy now and for years to come. This effort will require an active partnership of individuals, community groups, non-profit organizations, the business community, and local, regional, and state agencies.

What a sweet Mother's Day surprise on the Southeast Greenway... this mama deer gave birth to 3 babies early this morning. Daniella Stanghellini who lives adjacent to the Greenway captured this photo and said she's seen the females give birth in this same spot before!

Earth Day is a reminder that meaningful environmental change often begins at the local level, and Santa Rosa’s Southeast Greenway is a powerful example of that spirit in action. It reflects how collective effort—neighbors, organizers, and city leaders working together—can transform shared space into something that nurtures both people and the planet, embodying the very purpose of Earth Day!
