THE NEW DANCE SEASON BEGINS!

Greetings to All! We had a wonderful time dancing at the Scottish Games in Pleasanton, and now it's time to get back to classes. We are starting up again the second week of September with a full set of classes, including Scottish Country Dance, Highland, Step, and Hardshoe!

Adult Country Dance (the social dance of Scotland) will begin on Monday, September 12, at 7:00 pm, at Monroe Hall, 1400 W. College Ave, Santa Rosa, CA. Newcomers are welcome, and this is the perfect time for beginners to join!

(Monroe Hall requires all who enter the hall to be fully vaccinated and boosted. Masks are optional at this time).

The other dance schedules will appear here soon. But for the time being, newcomers interested in the other dance forms should contact us via Messenger for information and details.

We're looking forward to a full dance season for 2022/2023! Hope to see you in the hall!

Summer/Fall announcements:

Yeay! the Pleasanton Scottish Games and Festival is resuming this year on September 3-4, and SR Scottish Dancers will be performing! The Jean Patrick dance is also happening on Saturday night, Sep 3 in Pleasanton!

We are currently taking our usual July break, but Monday night classes will be happening in August for Pleasanton rehearsals and learning the Jean Patrick dances.

Our regular Monday night Scottish Country Dance classes will start up again on September 12, and this is the perfect time for new beginners to join us. Hope to see you then!

Great News! Our BISHOP'S RANCH SCOTTISH DANCE RETREAT is returning after a 2-year hiatus.

In-person classes are starting up again in Santa Rosa! New beginners are welcome! Masks and vaccinations required.

We're dancing again starting Monday, February 7th, 2022, 7:00 PM, at our usual venue: Monroe Hall, 1400 W. College Ave, Santa Rosa, 95401.

Happily, we've been holding in-person classes again, starting in September - at first with masks, then without, and then again with masks since Christmas. But now, sadly, this:

Hello, Everyone

Unfortunately, with the recent surge in Covid cases, we feel it is wisest to cancel in-person classes for the time being.

We will, however, go back to having Zoom classes for those who are interested.

(We know, not quite the same, but at least you don't have to wear a mask!)

Rather than trying to project when we'll start up again in person, just stay tuned.

To all members, beginners, and interested parties: Plans are in the works for dancing together in person again! If all goes well it may be possible to open all our classes sometime in September, and we hope you'll join us!

And the weekend workshop and retreat at Asilomar is scheduled for Oct 29-31! We'll send details about everything as soon as they are available.
