Hi Everyone!

I want to thank you all for supporting Dolphin Doula in providing doula services for the past 13 years! We have had the opportunity to assist hundreds of babies make their way into the world and created lasting memories with their families.

As many of you know Dolphin Doula has gone through many transformations over the years from it's "birth" as Dolphin Yoga & Doula Center to it's latest incarnation as Dolphin Doula and it is once again transforming. Dolphin Doula will no longer be providing Doula services, instead will be solely a doula training organization, helping to spread the Dolphin Doula Method to doulas all over the world.

Dolphin Doula As of June 1st, 2013, Dolphin Doula no longer offers Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Hypnosis for Childbirth, or Childbirth Education services.

An interesting read for our mothers waiting for the big day...some interesting facts in this include:

Reasons why women were induced
* 44% were full term
* 19% wanted to get the pregnancy over
* 11% wanted to control the timing of birth
* 16% were induced for a large baby (note: the average weight of these babies induced for suspected macrosomia was 7 lbs 15 ounces.)
* 18% were induced for being “overdue” (note: the average gestational age of those babies induced for being overdue was 39.9 weeks)
* 18% were induced for a maternal health problem
* 26% of women had their due date changed toward the end of their pregnancy; 66% of those were given an earlier due date and 34% were given a later one.
* 68% of women had a late third trimester ultrasound to estimate fetal weight

We were happy to support Ana and Jeremy and they welcomed a little bundle of joy. Their baby girl was born on May 19th at 12:30am.

Yipee! The Tracy and Eddie team is happy to welcome a baby girl born on May 18th at 9:02:11pm.
