Hi everybody, I just completed an 8'X20' sound wall. Hadn't done one since the Dog Ward at the Bodega Bay Veterinary Hospital. This new one was done along a major wall my client's garage so she wouldn't bother her neighbors with her dog's yipping and table saw and woodworking noises. Other current work is bathroom remodels, as usual, and a bunch of small projects. Looking for the next big residential or commercial job, though all jobs big or small keep the wolf from the door.

Winter is here. Skiiers say yea! Now is a good time to protect your exposed water lines, as freezing weather is just around the corner. Now is also a good time to buy pipe insulating material, because if you wait and buy when the freeze begins there may not be much left. I use the cylindrical foam tubes. They're easy to install, do a great job and last quite a long time. This time of the year I check all my previous pipe insulation and fix it up where needed. So, hopefully a word to the wise is sufficient. Happy Holidays!

One of my specialties is checking all your home's electrical connections. Over time wires to your switches and plugs and even your fuse and circuit breaker boxes loosen. Loose wires can create sparks and fires. Also your attic spaces can house improperly connected wires in, or worse, out of junction boxes, and there can be mouse or rat chewed wires. Best to get this done before the winter, which brings heavier electrical use.

Are your doors and windows properly caulked for the coming winter? I have a special going on right now to make sure your trim and cracks are properly sealed. Your gutters and portions of your roof are probably starting to collect leaves as well as dust and other debris. Now's a good time to clean them before the rains start making roofs a slippery, dangerous surface.
