Botanically, bananas are berries because they grow from a single flower with one o***y. Strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries are actually “aggregate fruits.”

You are NOT a bad parent, but you must apply these psychological circuit breakers right now.
Name the Feeling: Say it out loud: "I am overwhelmed, not a bad mom/dad." Separating your identity from your emotional state changes everything.
The 5-Minute Repair: You don’t need a grand gesture. Go to your kid, apologize simply for raising your voice, hug for 20 seconds, and move on.
The Screen-Time Amnesty: Give yourself permission to use technology as a tool for your own mental health survival without feeling bad about it.
Physical Grounding: Put your bare feet on the floor, look around the room, and name 3 things you can see, hear, and touch.
Lower the Bar: Celebrate the fact that everyone is fed and safe. That is a winning day.
This is where my English teacher was right. It will come back.

It's ok! You are learning, too!
Showing up, supporting them, and continuing to believe in their potential matters more than perfection ever could.
Don't miss this list if you’ve completely lost your identity to parenting. Try these 5 micro-acts to find yourself again.
The Nostalgia Playlist: Put on the music you loved when you were 19. It instantly triggers neural pathways associated with your pre-parent identity.
The "Just For Me" Purchase: Buy something small—a coffee, a magazine, a skincare item—that can't be shared, used by, or gifted to anyone else in the house.
Unapologetic Hobbies: Spend 15 minutes doing something purely for the sake of doing it, even if you're bad at it and it produces nothing productive.
Say "No" Without an Explanation: This one's hard, but practice setting a boundary with your extended schedule or family without offering a defensive justification.
Reclaim Your Text Threads: Send a text to a friend that has absolutely nothing to do with kids, schedules, or family life.
Should you be worried if your kid is erasing a lot? Not necessarily. Remind your kid of these four easy steps!
1. Acknowledge the mistake. Identify the mistake and recognize that it happened.
2. Analyze the mistake. Reviewing the subject/problem gives a second look at finding the solution.
3. Ask questions about the mistake. Allowing space to make mistakes and allow for corrections could create a better learning environment.
4. Correct the mistake. Correcting a mistake could be the key to mastering that skill.
Acknowledge, analyze, ask, and correct could help commit a skill to memory and make it easier to apply later. There is understanding and peace in knowing that mistakes aren't permanent, and can actually help your kid learn!
