Senate Bill 1326, introduced by Senator Anna Caballero (D-Merced), is informally known as the “cannabis interstate agreements bill.”
The passage of this bill gives the California Governor the ability to enter into agreements with other states that, like California, have also legalized adult use cannabis, to allow licensed commercial cannabis businesses in each state to do business with one another across state lines.
However, the Governor Newsom’s ability to enter interstate cannabis agreements is highly dependent on things that are outside of his control. To learn more, read our blog on !

On Friday Judge Marson in the state office of Administrative Hearings’ Special Education Division sided with the family of 5-year-old Brooke Adams, allowing her to attend public school with access to her life-saving cannabis-based medication!
How a California Kid Was Able to Take Her Cannabis Medicine to School Rogoway Law Group was honored to work pro bono on this case, which pivoted on the issue of a child who needs to take cannabis oil as a life-saving rescue medication while on school grounds, but whose school district would not permit the cannabis oil on their campuses.

"Brooke’s lawyer, Joe Rogoway, said the rules conflict with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, which requires public schools to provide children with disabilities needed services and accommodations.
“Fundamentally, what this is about is giving a 5-year-old the ability to go to kindergarten, while at the same time having access to medicine that the voters of California have said several times is appropriate,” Rogoway said. “Federal law says the school has to accommodate her medical needs.”
