As Pinot Noir grapes are thinner and don't love the heatāand don't like it too cool, eitherāthis tends to be a more finicky variety to work with. Depending on the year, every vintage can present new and unique challenges, but they're opportunities to craft beautiful Pinot Noirs that Matt welcomes.

Should you decant w**e before drinking it? š·
Decanting helps with heartier, more tannic w**es (like Cab), or w**es that might have sediment. With Pinot Noir, you don't typically need to. In fact, by decanting, you might actually lose some really beautiful aromatics that Pinot is known for!

So, what is Pinot Noir, anyway? š·
As an ancient grape varietal, it originated in modern-day France. These "little dark pine cone" clusters are small and concentrated, but create an unmistakable flavor profile that's uniquely Pinot Noirāand pretty legendary, if we do say so ourselves.
