Camp Questionmark has been a needed fixture for bass on the playa for as long as I can remember. Building a sound camp is a massive undertaking and everyone is pulling together for the love of sound and dust. If you have enjoyed getting lost in the low-end magic over the years and can help, please do! š©µ
We've done so much to make this year happen & we've gotten very close. Trying for one last push if you or someone you know might be down š Please check it here- (*Adding LINK in comments)

Good meow-ning, beautiful! āļø
Did you know that cats purr at a frequency range of 25-100 hz.. a purrrfect range to promote tissue healing and bone growth in humans? š±š©µ
Imagine what purring + a sub-woofer can accomplish. Anyone out there (other than me of course š¤£) try to adding cat sounds in their music?
Maybe this can unlock new territory in sound baths, meditation or soothing sleep sounds. š

As festival season winds down and booking for next year ramps up, this is the time to speak up about the lineups we want to see. š„š©µ
There are SO many talented women and POC artists who consistently get overlooked. ESPECIALLY in bass music driven spaces. Last year, most festivals in the US and Canada had less than 20% femme representation across their lineups, including festivals that often position themselves as progressive spaces.
(Shambhala, Bass Coast, The Untz, Elements etc)
Every time a festival makes a call out asking, āWho do you want to see?ā you have an opportunity to champion artists who are often working twice as hard just to be visible.
Diversity isnāt just about genre. Itās about representation, access, and who gets the chance to be seen on bigger stages. A healthy scene needs a range of voices, sounds, perspectives, and stories. Especially when so much of the music and culture we love was built from Black and brown artistry in the first place. Those artists deserve more visibility, support, and space at the table⦠š©µ
Use your voice. Recommend artists. Share their work. Help create the change you want to see in lineups. You might not think that the little things count, but they do. Be the encouragement someone needs to keep goingš„
Shoutout to Hydrophonic Festival here who ran first year and was impressive and a reminder of what its like when folks care more about inclusion and community than hype. In the world of algoriddims and paid plays what will always matter most is the connections we share.

We are living through an era where tech, wealth, and unchecked power are concentrating faster than the human mind can evolve⦠and if you know anything about history, that should concern you.
Twelve years ago the UN gathered , discussing soil depletion. The takeaway?
We -might- have about 60 harvests left if the current destructive, depleting farming practices continue unchecked. That means the clock is already moving. Not because the world is ending tomorrowā¦but because endless extraction of finite resources has massive consequences.
At the same time, we have been completely disconnected from the land, from each other, from what we eat⦠and from the long-term impact of how we live. Weāre overstimulated, divided, distracted, and encouraged to fight each other while the structure underneath us cracks beyond repair.
History has shown that time and time again when wealth and power become too concentrated, while everyday people struggle, societies reach a breaking point. The French Revolution wasnāt random and neither were the countless other periods of civil unrest weāve learned about over time. Extreme imbalance creates pressure, tension, and that pressure eventually needs release. š®āšØ
With all this being said, I donāt believe fear is the answer. I believe knowledge and critical thinking are some of the most powerful things we have. I believe humans are still very capable of course-correcting. If we reject rage-bait, foster real community, demand accountability, and wake up to what actually matters, we may still have the chance to build a better future.
Thatās the hope Iām holding onto. š©µ

To me, the funniest part about AI is that some people are using it to generate fake expertise, sloppy art and cheap dopamine hitsā¦
ā¦and some of us are using it like an oracle of old helping us find the best ways to build greenhouses and remember how to thrive when food becomes scarce and the economy buckles under inevitable, corrupt collapse.
Same technology. Very different outcomes. š¤

Who are some folks that you follow on this platform that are genuinely inspiring? Humans that have a message that lies deeper than the typical performative tactics? Folks who use their voice to do more than promote and pander?
Educate me, pls š©µ

I donāt know about you⦠but Iāve been CRAVING art that has teeth.
Most (not all) of what Iām seeing right now feels safe. Predictableā¦. Performativeā¦Polishedā¦Palatable. (I love alliteration hehe)
Easy to like. Boxed neatly for mass consumption.
That āpick me algo-daddyā energy? Itās flatlining humanity. Strangling raw expression.
My mind consistently finds itself coming back to this quote:
āArt should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.ā
A lot of what weāre consuming isnāt doing either.
Instead, itās starting to feel like noise, distraction, a numbing agent⦠as the world burns. š®āšØ
And honestly⦠it makes sense why AI is flooding art spaces first. Not because art is easy, no noā¦but because it has accompanied EVERY major movement known to man. When you make it easy to replicate, package, and dilute⦠you take its power away.
Iām personally missing art that risks something. If it costs nothing, it shifts nothingā¦. And we desperately are in need of a shift.
So⦠Iām raising my already skyrocketing standards. Paying a lot more mind of who Iām giving my attention to. Focusing on how I can shift my own art in a way that provides more substance. Thatās my promise to myself and to you.
Building an empire is -way- more fun with friends. Big things in the works⦠full of magic, whimsy, the best of humanity.
