I've never really liked the phrase 'spiritual awakening' as of it's one point in time with a clear before and after

In reality, my own process has been a continuous deepening into my self, my truth, and my understanding of reality and spirit. And it certainly has not been linear. There have been many ebbs and flows and spiraling in and out of my practices and belief systems.

To imply that there is only a before and after a singular event wouldnt do justice to the nuanced, complex, and ever changing nature of being human. Because that is what we are here to do: continuously circle our true self, getting ever closer towards our innate nature, even went when it seems like we might be drifting farther apart.

This summer did not go as planned. And it felt impossible to remember what I was working on and building before. But ebbs in life are inevitable, especially when we don't plan for them. And we need to allow ourselves more grace as they unfold.

Time isn't linear. It's never too late to heal. And versions of ourselves can support us from both the past, present, and future.

Why I no longer cut cords (and what I do instead):

Imagine a piece of rope stretched between two people. If you cut the rope in the middle, both people still end up holding on to quite a lot of rope.

This is someone else's energy that can end up lingering in the body and energy field.

Over time, this lingering energy can have physical, mental, emotional and energetic impacts. And even make it more likely that the cord will reattach.

Instead, I focus on removing energetic cords and returning all energy to whom it belongs.
