🚧 Santa Rosa Creek Trail Closure Notice

Both sides of the Santa Rosa Creek Trail between Fulton Road and Willowside Road will be closed Monday, Aug. 31, through Friday, Sept. 4 to support construction and maintenance work.

❌ No access will be available along the creek during this time on either side of the trail.

This closure is necessary for:
• City of Santa Rosa Fulton Road Sewer Replacement Project
• Sonoma Water Flood Control Channel Maintenance

✅ Public access is expected to be restored by the end of the day on Sept. 4.

Looking ahead: Beginning Sept. 8, the south-side gravel trail will remain closed on weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through approximately Oct. 16.

UPDATE 6/30/26: A previous version of this post listed the wrong date for completion of the trail closure.
The trail will be closed daily from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through THURSDAY, JULY 2, 2026.

The north side of the Santa Rosa Creek Trail (paved side) will be closed for maintenance between Willowside Road and Pierson Street from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily Monday, June 29, through Thursday, July 2. The trail will remain open for normal use outside these hours. While the paved trail is closed, the gravel surface trail on the south side of Santa Rosa Creek will remain open.

TRAIL CLOSURE: The north side of the Santa Rosa Creek Trail will be closed for maintenance between Stony Point Road and Fulton Road from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily starting tomorrow, Monday, June 15, through Wednesday, June 17. The trail will remain open for normal use outside these hours. While the paved trail is closed, the gravel surface trail on the south side of Santa Rosa Creek will remain open.

Public Meeting for State Route 116 Pavement Rehabilitation Project between Monte Rio and Sebastopol in Sonoma County

Who: Caltrans Bay Area and Sonoma Public Infrastructure Department

Caltrans Bay Area-District 4 and Sonoma County Public Infrastructure will be holding a public meeting to discuss the upcoming project to rehabilitate pavement on Route 116 between Monte Rio and Sebastopol. The project includes some bicycle and sidewalk improvements.

The forum will also provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the project’s environmental document.
