Today I have a community invitation to share.

Many have asked about dahlia tubers this year and I'm happy to share I have dozens of varieties that I am donating to benefit the Spring Hill School, a beloved Petaluma gem that has been serving local families for 50 years.

We've set up a self-serve dahlia tuber table in front of the upper school campus, and you're invited to stop by anytime this weekend and take home a tuber (or a few) in exchange for a donation made directly to the Spring Hill School.

If you've never grown dahlias before, now is the perfect time to start. These tubers are sprouting and ready to plant. With a good home, they'll become gorgeous flowering plants that provide months of blooms for bouquets, pollinators, and pure garden joy.

Available varieties include Frank H, Caitlin’s Joy, Just Peachy, Peg’s Peach, Ferncliff Inspiration & Illusion, Bracken Palomino & Sarah, Iced Tea, Hi Sun Tan, Cornell Bronze, Valley Tawny, Lark’s Ebbe, Peaches N’ Cream, Robann Regal, Wine-Eyed Jill, Bloomquist Essence & Mojo, Merlot, Ken’s Choice, Shadow Cat, Miss Amara, Robin Hood, Chewy, Rock Run Ashley, plus a few special KAs… if you know, you know. 😉

Suggested donations are $5–$10 per tuber, though any amount is appreciated.

Opening our Grant Ave location has been such an exciting new chapter for Made Local Marketplace.
