The Delectable Garden Shop has "closed its doors" but remains a page in order to support Kiva micro-loans, and spread empathy and compassion in different ways.

Keeping in line with my beliefs, I have discovered the art of vertical gardens. Vertical gardens create a healthier indoor environment by cleaning up the air you breath and offer beauty to your outdoor space. Since ours are made of recycled plastic bottles, they help reduce the amount of plastic making it's way to our landfills and oceans, so you can feel good about buying them! Whether you have a lot of space, or are limited to a city apartment, you can grow flowers, herbs, lettuce gardens, or nearly anything that touches your heart while beautifying your outdoor or indoor space. You can create an entire green wall to accent your patio. These vertical planters are so space saving and practical I'm surprised everyone isn't using them already. We are a small, family owned business, located in the Sonoma Valley of Northern California, in the heart of the w**e country but will ship them anywhere you are. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected]

Aeonium plants in the Sun are so beautiful.

Can you help support Viwala? 09/06/2026

Kiva is an easy way to make a real difference in someone's life. Will you join me in helping Viwala in Mexico City to pursue their dream?

Can you help support Viwala? Kiva is a loan, not a donation. With Kiva you can lend as little as $25 and make a big change in someone's life.

A civilian engineer says she was r***d by the captain of a Navy ship. A federal judge dismissed her lawsuit—not because the allegation was proven false, not because justice was served, but by treating the harm as a workers’ compensation matter.

Read that again. R**e by a ship’s captain, reduced to an on-the-job injury claim.

Stars and Stripes reported it. And then, within days, Pete Hegseth’s Pentagon fired the publication’s editor in chief.
That timing should terrify every person who believes in accountability. A military-connected news outlet reports a story that exposes an appalling failure of justice for a survivor, and its top editor is suddenly out. Is that supposed to be normal? Is that supposed to be democracy?

Meanwhile, the White House has created a government-run “Media Offenders” page—a public blacklist-style tracker meant to shame outlets and reporters for coverage the administration dislikes. Government officials are not merely disputing reporting; they are building machinery to delegitimize the press itself.

This is how authoritarianism advances: normalize cruelty, protect the powerful, punish scrutiny, and tell the public that anyone documenting it is the enemy.

A survivor deserves justice—not bureaucratic dismissal. Journalists deserve independence—not political retaliation. And the public deserves the truth, especially when those in power most want it buried.

Wake up. Silence is not neutrality when the institutions meant to protect people are being used to protect those at the top. 09/04/2026
