🌟 Patient Spotlight: Elnora’s Story 🌟
When Elnora experienced sudden single-sided hearing loss following surgery for an acoustic neuroma, she wondered whether it might mean the end of the career she had built over nearly three decades.

Dr. Peter Marincovich helped her see things differently.

Introducing AHeart, an Audiology Associates Community Initiative. 💚

AHeart is where we share the stories, ideas, and moments closest to our heart, including the many ways sound connects us to our community, our loved ones, and the world around us.

To begin, meet Sadie, Dr. Marincovich’s new Flat-Coated Retriever. After only a few days at home, Sadie has already shown how calming music can be for her. We are also happy to report that she appears to be an Eagles fan!

Dogs experience a world of sound that extends far beyond our own. Humans typically hear frequencies ranging from about 20 to 20,000 Hz, while dogs may hear frequencies as high as 45,000 to 60,000 Hz. They can also detect certain sounds that are much quieter than what human ears can perceive.

Sadie’s response to music is a sweet reminder that sound has the power to comfort, connect, and enrich our lives, whether we have two ears or four paws.

💚 Connecting With Our Santa Rosa Community

We had a wonderful time Friday at the first-ever Senior Resource Fair hosted by Blue Oak Post-Acute here in Santa Rosa!

Nancy, Andrew, and Tina (Tina took the photo!) represented Audiology Associates and spent the afternoon connecting with local seniors, families, and other community organizations while sharing information and resources about hearing health.

Blue Oak Post-Acute provides skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and therapy services focusing to helping people maintain their independence and quality of life, so it was especially meaningful to come together around a shared commitment to supporting our local senior community.

A big thank you to the Blue Oak Post-Acute team for inviting us and for bringing so many local resources together in one place. We loved being a part of your first fair and hope it becomes an annual tradition!
