Aquariuz

Ive been revisiting my roots in leatherwork lately, it feels good to have my hands on the natural materials and work on the hand stitching. Naturally, this intersected with my siren side and here was a creation. This one is made from a mix of different finishes on the leather, the midriff belt has a sort of a pearlescent finish, the hand stitching is done in h**p, added the fringes and fresh water pearls. I think this has seaside, sand dune vibes, so I thought id show all the mermaids. Unlike most of the things I post here, this isnt swim wear, dry land only for this (Although I do think leather could under some circumstances and tanning methods be used as second skin swimwear, that is another creation for another day, not this one). I set up a holiday tree in my shop this year and guess what the theme is? This tree is a Grand Fir, and is naturally just light and spacious, so I wasnt able to hang a million ornaments or even very heavy ones~this turned out to be okay, since I think I can still just appreciate the natural beauty of the tree and keep a light energy to it. Plus it showcases a few of the very nice ornaments that I do have. I also made the tree skirt (yesterday!). The tree skirt is kind of a mashup of a few different designs I had seen on pinterest, but basically the white ruffles are supposed to resemble the seafoam of the waves coming on to the beach. Im not sure it exactly does, but its still cute! Anyways, hope you enjoy, and that all are having a warm holiday season. Sorry I havent posted more lately, ive been offline a lot.
