Today is the last day for LEAP. LEAP was not just a preschool...it was a community and a family. Needless to say, our LEAP community and family is experiencing a devastating loss today. Please send your love and hugs to our children, families and teachers today.

Dear Preschool Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I inform our community of the closure of our LEAP preschool program. As you know, the COVID pandemic has required significant requirements that have impacted our program staffing and ability to meet the needs of our children. We worked really hard to keep our program afloat during this time, but have reached a point where we are no longer able to continue to operate. The last day for LEAP will be Friday, April 9th.

Thank you to our families, teachers, and preschool community for their continuous support throughout this difficult time. We are very thankful that we had the opportunity to care for as many families as we have over the past 4.5 years. We will be forever grateful!

Sincerely,

Krystal Coleman; LEAP Director
Nancy Alcott; Executive Director

Tips to make distance learning work for your family 12/22/2020

We all have seen the effects so far that Distance Learning has had on us. It is affecting the mental and physical health of adults and children. It is affecting us financially, and quite frankly has us all in a "funk". Many of us ask ourselves, how much more of this can we take? We are in positions to prioritize these things, when they are all so important! Stop being so hard on yourself! You are doing the best you can!

My preschool program opened a Distance Learning Support Program (LIFT) this year to help children and families feel happiness again. While we are a private program and the cost may seem unaffordable to most, what we offer exceeds the cost. Your children get to be with friends again, you as a parent get to go back to work, everyone's mental and physical wellness begins to stabilize and most importantly your home time becomes family time again. Being there for one another is the most important thing right now as we continue to navigate the uncertainty of this pandemic. We hope we can provide you and your family with a sense of normalcy as we enter 2021!
