BEGINNING AGAIN, IN LOVE

September 20, 2026

As the Wheel of the Year turns toward Autumn and our Jewish siblings observe the Days of Repentance, we reflect on the covenantal practice of beginning again, in love. Each year, each day, each moment, we have the opportunity to pause and reorient. Are we in alignment with our deepest values and aspirations? Where have we strayed? And what might we need to repair or let go of in order to return once again to love?

The fool Tarot
AI, Labor and The Fool

Sunday, September 6, 2026

Hey ChatGPT, craft a UU Labor Day service that weaves together the themes of the current state of artificial intelligence and its material affect on working life, with themes related to the Fool card in Tarot. Please focus the service on the spiritual lessons to be learned around how work is being revolutionized in this AI-filled world, and how that is impacted by the practical implications of AI's lack of personal accountability. Please do not use any em dashes.

When the federal government is spying on your church, you know you're living your values! Read this story of one UU congregation's response ...

DHS, probing anti-ICE activists, spied on at least five Midwest churches, court records indicate (RNS) — Church leaders were outraged and vowed to continue their advocacy for immigrants.

Today we bid farewell to Rev Amy Zucker Morgenstern and celebrated the good shared ministry we did with her this past year. In Rev. Amy’s words, it was bittersweet—sweet with appreciation, celebration, music, ritual, food and of course, cake! Bitter because it’s sad to say goodbye. We wish Rev Amy all the very best in the next adventure!

Rev. Tovis Page is staying on for another year of contract co-ministry, and next Sunday we will welcome our new co-minister, Rev. Ranwa Hammamy! Hope to see you there!

Join us this Sunday! Reverend Amy will be sharing her final sermon with us today.

"FREE AND RESPONSIBLE"

Sunday, August 16, 2026

When we rewrote the UUA's Article II into six values, people's most anxious question was "What about the free and responsible search for truth and meaning?" (No worries, it's still there.) This was, by highly unofficial survey, the most-cherished of our seven principles. Today we delve into this odd couple, responsibility and freedom, and how they have guided our history--and are the key to a thriving future.
