Santa Rosa Women for Good

✨ It’s time for FAQ Friday! ❤️

So… what do Women for Good actually do? 👀

At our core, we’re creating opportunities for local women to come together and be part of something good in Sonoma County. We gather, we give, we volunteer, we learn, and we build connections along the way.

There are many ways to be a Woman for Good. Together, the good grows. 🌱

Have a question about WFG? Drop it in the comments.👇

What can $7 do? It can help put a book in the hands of a Sonoma County child every month for a year 📚💕

Give any amount to our Sonoma County Imagination Library Good Gift fundraiser, and Women for Good will match it, up to $1,500!

A little gift can make a big difference. Help us share the joy of reading with local kids!

Everyone deserves a place to belong 💛

In California, 45.7% of adults report feeling lonely sometimes, usually, or always. That's a heartbreaking statistic and a reminder of just how important meaningful connection is, because accessible opportunities to connect can make a difference.

At Santa Rosa Women for Good, we're creating space for women to do just that. Whether it's grabbing coffee, volunteering together, supporting local nonprofits, or simply showing up, there's a place for you here.

It's about finding your people, sharing experiences, supporting one another, and discovering that even small acts can make a big difference.

You don't have to do it all. You just have to start somewhere.

Come find your community. Come grow the good with us. ❤️

A little coffee, a lot of connection! ☕💛

Our casual Saturday morning coffee meetups are all about bringing local women together around a shared table, making new connections, and enjoying a little time in community.

Curious about Women for Good? A coffee meetup is the perfect place to start! No pressure, no expectations, just good coffee and great women.

Come join us next time! We’d love to meet you ❤️

Today is Dolly Parton Day, and we’re celebrating a woman who made doing good part of her legacy 💕✨

One of the ways Dolly has done that is through her Imagination Library, putting free books into the hands of millions of children, including kids right here in Sonoma County 📚

We loved the idea of finding a way to continue a little bit of Dolly’s good right here in our own community so through October 15th, Santa Rosa Women for Good is hosting a Good Gift fundraiser to support the Sonoma County Imagination Library.

And we’re making your generosity go even further. Women for Good will match your donation, up to $1,500!

Maybe it’s $10. Maybe it’s $25. Maybe it’s whatever you can give. Every gift helps put more books into the hands of local kids, and when we all give together, those little gifts can add up to something really meaningful. 💗

Give a little. Double the good. Share the good. ✨

If you’re able, make a gift and share this post with a friend, family member, coworker, or fellow book lover who might want to be part of it too.

And just for fun, tell us your favorite thing about Dolly! 💕 Is it her music, her movies, her big personality, her philanthropy, her style, her books, or something else? We want to hear it!

📣 Sonoma County nonprofits, we want to hear from you! ❤️

We’re filling up our Women for Good volunteer calendar for the rest of the year, and we’d love to connect with local nonprofits who could use an extra set of hands.

Does your organization have a volunteer opportunity that could be a good fit for a group of women looking to give back together? Whether it’s helping at an event, sorting donations, preparing meals, getting outdoors, supporting a community program, or something completely different, we’d love to hear about it!

👉 Nonprofit friends: Have an opportunity for our group to consider? Send us a message or reach out through our website.

And for our Women for Good community: What kinds of volunteer opportunities do you love? 👇

Are you happiest:
🌱 Getting outside and working with your hands?
📦 Sorting, organizing or packing donations?
🍎 Serving meals or supporting food access?
🎉 Helping at community events?
🤝 Supporting children, families, seniors or other community members?

Tell us in the comments! Your answers will help us build a volunteer calendar filled with opportunities our members are excited to participate in.

Let’s keep growing the good, together!

🌽 Food Bank Day! 🌽

Today’s task? Cleaning corn! And we got a LOT done. 💪

Together, our Women for Good crew cleaned 1,480 pounds of corn, helping provide approximately 1,233 meals for our neighbors in Sonoma County.

We love these opportunities to come together, roll up our sleeves, and be part of the vital work happening at Redwood Empire Food Bank.

A few hours, a whole lot of corn, and an even bigger impact. That’s what giving back together is all about! 🫶🌽
