This year, the Railroad Square Music Festival is stepping up their sustainability game with reusable cups for w**e and cocktails. This collaborative effort was sparked by a random conversation and a tiny complaint by Spring Maxfield of SR Urban Arts and within hours a new partnership was created with Recology Sonoma Marin and Green Mary. This year reusable 8oz cups will be provided to festival attendees enjoying w**e and cocktails. This will help reduce single use plastics generated at the event and give you a more sustainable way to sip. If you plan to grab a drink, please return your Recology reusable cup to the Green Mary waste stations throughout the event venue. Grossman’s Noshery and Bar has stepped in to make sure all cups get a thorough washing and sanitizing after the event to be ready for the next time they are used.

Recology Sonoma Marin is trying something new - reusables at events! See it in action as we pilot our new stainless steel reusable cups this weekend at the Railroad Music Festival on Sunday, September 20th. We hope that this trial is one of many, intending to cut plastic, reduce waste, and bring reusables back to events. This pilot would not be possible without the collaborative efforts of Railroad Square Music Festival organizers, Green Mary, Santa Rosa Urban Arts Partnership, and Grossman's Noshery & Bar.
