✨Meet the Stone: Opal 🌈✨

Opal is one of those stones that almost seems to glow from within - flashes of color appearing and disappearing as it moves through the light.

Opal is October’s and Libra’s traditional birthstone, making this an especially lovely time to get to know it a little better.

Often associated with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras, Opal can be a beautiful companion for:

✨ Joy & creative expression
🌈 Originality & being fully yourself
👁️ Self-awareness, intuition & spiritual connection
🌀 Transformation & renewal
💫 Releasing old patterns & making room for something new

An affirmation we like for working with Opal:

“I release old patterns into the light and allow my joy, awareness, and originality to shine.”

Here’s the cool rock-nerd part: Opal is actually a hydrated form of silica and technically a mineraloid rather than a crystalline mineral. In precious Opal, tiny silica spheres interact with light to create those incredible shifting flashes of color known as play-of-color. 💎

Come explore our beautiful collection of Opals and Opal jewelry, find the one that catches your eye, and discover our lovingly curated collection of crystals, books, oracle & tarot decks, plants, gifts, and stellar jewelry.

✨💜 Meet the Stone: Atlantisite 💚✨
Stichtite in Serpentine

Those beautiful swirls of purple and green are actually two minerals together: purple Stichtite within green Serpentine, a combination commonly known in the crystal trade as Atlantisite.

Often associated with the Heart, Third Eye, and Crown Chakras, Atlantisite can be a beautiful companion for:

💜 Self-confidence & self-acceptance
🫶 Feeling connected, supported & loved
💕 Affection, compassion & opening the heart
💞 Meaningful connection & partnership
✨ Deepening spiritual awareness
🌿 Releasing patterns that no longer support you

At its heart, Atlantisite is a reminder that the way we meet ourselves shapes the way we meet one another.

An affirmation we like for working with Atlantisite:

“I release old patterns with compassion and make room for deeper connection with myself and others.”

There’s some very cool mineral magic hiding in that purple…Stichtite gets its distinctive lavender-to-purple color from chromium and characteristically forms in association with Serpentine.

Fun fact for our fellow rock nerds: chromium also helps create the red in Ruby and the green in Emerald. The mineral structure surrounding the chromium changes how it interacts with light, giving us dramatically different colors. ❤️💚💜

Come discover Atlantisite in the shop…and explore our lovingly curated collection of crystals, books, oracle & tarot decks, plants, gifts, and stellar jewelry.

Classic Libra Crystals ⚖️

Libra energy is collaborative and deeply attuned to relationships, beauty, fairness, harmony, and the balance between self and other. Libra reminds us there is magic in connection - in what becomes possible together.

Some classic crystal associations for Libra energy and the months of September and October include:

🌈 Opal - beauty, creativity, joy & self-expression

💙 Sapphire - clarity, wisdom, discernment & thoughtful communication

🩷 Rose Quartz - love, compassion, harmony & connection with self and others

💚 Emerald - heart-centered connection, abundance & balance in relationships

🔵 Lapis Lazuli - truth, perspective & authentic communication

💗 Pink Tourmaline (shown here in Quartz) - compassion, emotional balance, heart-centered connection & gentle strength

Whether you’re working with Libra placements in your chart (we all have Libra somewhere!) or simply moving through Libra season, these stones can be beautiful companions for exploring connection, balance, beauty, and what becomes possible together. ✨

It feels especially fitting that we refreshed the shop during Libra season - rearranging the space with more attention to beauty, flow, connection, and how all the pieces work together.

As part of our expansion, we created a dedicated Zodiac Crystal space, bringing together classic and beyond-the-classic stones for every sign - making it easier to find the just-right crystal gift for yourself or someone you love. 💎✨

✨Meet the Element: Copper 🧡

Copper isn’t actually a mineral - it’s a naturally occurring element, and one of the few metals that can be found in nature in its native form.

Known for its remarkable ability to conduct heat and electricity, Copper has also long been worked with energetically for grounding, vitality, connection, and helping energy move and flow.

A few reasons we love working with Copper:

🧡 Energy & vitality - traditionally associated with strengthening and moving energy

🌿 Grounding & connection - supporting rootedness while remaining open and responsive

⚡️ Conductivity - both literally and symbolically, Copper is all about movement, exchange & connection

✨ Traditional use - Copper has long been worn against the skin in folk and wellness traditions for aches, joint comfort & arthritis support.
