We do this through a variety of conflict resolution skills training programs and by conducting mediations for people in conflict in the community.

Here is a sample of a landlord-tenant mediation, for purely educational purposes. All mediations are slightly different.
Also, please note that mediation that occurs the day of trial will not be like this. It will be a much more abbreviated and informal setting, sometimes only minutes in length depending on how full the court calendar is that day.
If possible, try to work out your differences in advance of having to file lawsuits. Where all parties to a dispute are willing to mediate, productive outcomes may result, and both time and money can be significantly saved.

RECOURSE is Sonoma County’s oldest and largest trusted community-based nonprofit organization providing our wonderful residents with the means for identifying, expressing, and peacefully resolving conflict in a safe environment. We do this through a variety of conflict resolution skills training programs and by conducting mediation for people in conflict in the community. We work both privately in our beautifully serene offices as well as directly in our local court system. Our mediators are highly skilled, trained, and compassionate.
