Three tables of chaos and crafting is the PERFECT WAY to get this weekend going. We made encaustics with collage!

I held an encaustics workshop at North Bay Made Gifts - Santa Rosa & Novato in Santa Rosa. And it was PERFECT.

Perfectly delightful. Perfectly whimsical. Perfectly chatty. Perfectly artsy! I am so grateful and happy!!

I LOVE seeing everyone’s art. It’s what I miss most about school. The collective vibe of a bunch of people getting creative in one space. And I felt it here. “What if—“ “I’m thinking maybe—“ “can I try—?” “What would happen if I —?”

Oh it feels good. Y’all breathe life into me. I love it so much. It truly feels like a bunch of old friends got together and started crafting together. And I didn’t know any of these friends before I set up!

Truly what a magical way to kick off the weekend. I overfloweth joy and gratitude.

Big mad? ✔️ yuuuuuup.

I wanted to get a new phone. And get my husband on my line.

It took 10 hours of my life.

And at the end of it? Out $500 unrefundable and I have the wrong phone.

I wish ten hours was an exaggeration. I was in the store for 5 hours today trying to sort it all out.

But I have hopeful news. I think I can finally do calls and text. 😭 I’ll try to catch up this weekend a bit.

I’m excited to get our encaustics on at North Bay Made Gifts - Santa Rosa & Novato !

I was looking for a venue to host a little craft day, and y’all came through! Wonderful!!!! I’m so excited!

I remember school starting after Labor Day. I remember summer feeling too short.

And as an adult without kids, I still think it’s kind of too short.

Everywhere I go… people are metaphorically throwing summer in a box, 📦 wrapping it up with tape. And happily throwing it in the attic for next year.

And I’m simply not ready. This summer my family has been grinding. Working hard. Grindset mindset style. And the glimpses of summer I’ve been seeing are so fantastic. Paddle boarding with friends. Walking around spring lake. Open air farmers markets. New friends. Pot lucks.

I want the excitement of bathing suits and float toys in store. New popsicles to try and more shoulder freckles.

I know grown-up summer has a couple more weeks. But I’m not ready for it to be done at all. I love Halloween. But I’m not there mentally. I need late sunsets and swimming! I haven’t even gone swimming this year!!
