Photographing a haboob birthed by a supercell is pure adrenaline. Outflow slams into the earth and drags the landscape up with it. It’s the brutal exhale of a storm, and an unrelenting wall of chaos eating miles in minutes. You either stay ahead of it or disappear into it.

Take me back to Oklahoma where the skies explode with thunder and are painted in the cerulean hues of hail glow. This was such a fun chase with Storm Chaser Tim Baca back in June 2025. Here's hoping 2026 is just as prolific!

On 4/21/22 this LP supercell commanded the Kansas horizon as the incandescent colors of sunset spilled across its sculpted structure. Spring is here, and soon the dramatic atmosphere will fill my lens again!

My top 10 storm photos of 2025! I'll admit, it took me months to drum up the motivation to edit images from last year. I knew there were a few amazing shots, but I wasn't excited about my holistic portfolio since I missed all the stunning tornadoes in the High Plains. But then I started to edit and realized 2025 was actually one of my best seasons as a storm photographer.

I witnessed out-of-this-world structured supercells, big dusty tornadoes, two finger of God moments, storms with ethereal sunset light, a haboob in central Texas, massive monsoon lightning, and more!

Imposter syndrome and the comparison game are vicious. I'm so proud of what I accomplished in 2025 without chasing all the photogenic outbreaks!
