Elevated Dental Education
π¦· Elevated Dental Education empowers dental professionals through practical insights, continued learning, and growth.
Founded by Ashley McEachern, our mission is simple: learn, lead, and elevate together.
π¦· Let's Talk Dental Team Training...
One of the biggest misconceptions in dentistry is that training only matters when someone is new.
The strongest teams I've worked with are the ones that never stop learning.
Whether you've been in dentistry for 6 months or 20 years, there's always something new to learn, improve, or revisit.
π¬ I'm curious...
What's one thing you wish you had learned earlier in your dental career?
It could be clinical, compliance-related, communication, scheduling, insurance, or anything in between.
Let's help the next generation of dental professionals learn from our experiences. π
π¦· Dental Confession Time...
What's one thing you learned years into your dental career that you wish someone had taught you on day one?
I'll go first: Just because "that's how we've always done it" doesn't mean it's the best way.

π¦· Quick Question...
Have you completed your continuing education requirements for your next license renewal?
If not, you're definitely not alone.
I created this quick 5-slide guide because one of the most common things I hear from dental professionals is:
"I'll get to it later."
Then suddenly renewal deadlines are around the corner.
Take a swipe through and let me know:
β
Have you already completed your CE requirements?
β What CE topics would you like to see offered in the future?

π¦· Is Your Office Keeping Up With Equipment Maintenance?
When people think about compliance, they often think about policies and paperwork.
But some of the most important compliance and infection control tasks happen behind the scenes.
βοΈ Waterline maintenance
βοΈ Weekly line shocking (per manufacturer recommendations)
βοΈ Handpiece maintenance
βοΈ Lubricating motors and attachments
βοΈ Sterilizer cleaning and maintenance
βοΈ Biological monitoring
βοΈ Equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
Consistent maintenance helps protect your patients, extend the life of your equipment, and reduce costly repairs.
One of the best ways to stay on track is with a simple maintenance checklist that clearly outlines daily, weekly, monthly, and annual responsibilities.
π¬ Does your office currently use a maintenance checklist?
If not, send me a message and I'd be happy to share one with you. π¦·β¨

I've visited offices with beautifully organized compliance binders that looked like they had never been opened.
I've also seen offices with simple systems where every team member knew exactly what to do.
The difference?
Training. Consistency. Accountability.
Compliance isn't about having policies on a shelfβit's about making sure your team understands them and applies them every day.
Good intentions don't protect patients.
Consistent actions do.
When was the last time your office reviewed a compliance policy together as a team?

π¦· Quick Infection Control Reminder
One issue I frequently see during office visits and conversations with teams is instruments being sterilized in a Statim or sterilizer and then stored loose in drawers without being bagged or wrapped.
While this may seem harmless, sterilized instruments that are not being used immediately should be packaged or wrapped before sterilization and remain sealed during storage to help prevent contamination.
According to California infection control regulations, critical and semi-critical instruments that are not intended for immediate use should be packaged or wrapped and stored in a way that maintains sterility until use.
A few reminders:
β
Clean instruments before sterilization
β
Package or wrap instruments prior to sterilization if not being used immediately
β
Keep packages sealed until use
β
Store instruments in a manner that prevents contamination
β
Maintain biological monitoring (spore testing) and sterilization records
Infection control isn't about checking boxesβit's about protecting our patients, our teams, and our practices.
Have you reviewed your instrument processing protocol recently? π¦·β¨
π¦· Let's Talk About the "Why" Behind Dentistry

Some of us knew from a young age that we wanted to work in healthcare. Some stumbled into dentistry by accident. Some followed family members into the field. And some discovered a passion they never expected.
