Fresh to Farming

Small farm documentarian planning a tour of farms in the United States.

Beginning with local Sonoma County farms in the August of 2018, I set out with a goal to photograph a dozen farms before winter kicked in. I ended up visiting 20 farms.

I kind of put the idea aside but it was two unplanned farm trips over the winter that reignited the excitement I felt meeting new people on their farms. Doing what they love, I’m lucky to catch people in their elements. Sometimes at their most comfortable moments.
