Auditions for SRJC Dance Company are coming soon! Note that the 1:30 meeting on 8/31 is for prospective choreographers only. Dancers have two options to audition. Heyyyy dancers! There is still plenty of space in the Commercial Dance class!
Take your dance skills to new heights in our newest class: Commercial Dance (Dance 70.3, 70.4 & 70.5) taught by Jolene Johnson this fall. This class prepares intermediate and higher-level dancers to pursue performance careers in music videos, Broadway productions, film, TV, and more. Fun and challenging combinations in multiple genres, including jazz, hip hop, contemporary, musical theatre, and more! Class meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. starting August 19th in Tauzer Dance Studio 201.

Lea Brown-Ferguson is teaching Beginning-Intermediate Jazz & Hip Hop, plus the Intro to Dance class (which includes Jazz & Hip Hop🕺👟🤩) this Fall semester - start date 8-17. Lea says this about her classes: "I love teaching all levels, abilities, and ages in our community. I also love sharing my passion for dance and the arts." Lea's classes take place late afternoon and evening, making them ideal for college students, high school students, and working community members alike. Lea's dance performance credits include dancing with NBA & NFL dance teams as a Warriors Girl with the Golden State Warriors and with the 49ers.

Intermediate/Advanced Modern Dance Monday/Wednesday 12-1:20 p.m., starts at SRJC August 17th with the inimitable Tanya Knippelmeir, known for the artistic direction and choreography of "UPside Dance Company" as well as for her classes and dance artistry at SRJC. What Tanya says about this class: "It's my absolute favorite class to teach, and it's going to be filled with gorgeous movement, awakening choreography and artistry, and beautiful humans."
