SLAVE PLAY by Jeremy O. Harris
Presented by Left Edge Theatre at The California Theatre
September 30–October 11

What happens when the past refuses to stay in the past?

Provocative, explosive, and unflinching, SLAVE PLAY brings the history we think we know into conversation with 21st-century America. Three in*******al couples participate in a provocative form of s*x therapy that forces questions of race, desire, power, and the enduring legacy of slavery to the surface.

The play sparked outrage and debate during its 2018 Off-Broadway run, including a petition calling for its closure. On Broadway, it received a record-setting 12 Tony Award nominations for a non-musical play.

Now, Jeremy O. Harris’s acclaimed work comes to Santa Rosa for its North Bay Premiere.

The most controversial Broadway show gets its North Bay Premiere THIS WEDNESDAY.

SLAVE PLAY by Jeremy O. Harris opens September 30 and runs through October 11, presented by Left Edge Theatre at The California Theatre of Santa Rosa.

At the MacGregor Plantation, the antebellum South collides with the present in a provocative fever dream where race, desire, gender, and power intertwine. Nothing is quite as it seems, and everything is up for examination.
