Probably one of my favorite parts of camps has got to be answering all the questions that we get🙋‍♀️

Largely because I know what this could mean to some girls…

This may be one of the only opportunities some of these girls get to truly ask without any fear. And being that outlet for them is a massive blessing.

Be the blessing you wish you had when you were in their shoes🙏

A lot changed for me when I stopped saying “I have to” and started saying “I get to”…🙏

I don’t have to train. I get to train.
I don’t have to compete. I get to compete.
I don’t have to step in the circle again. I get another opportunity to.

The game feels a lot different when you stop treating it like pressure and start seeing it as a privilege.

That mindset shift changes everything🧏‍♀️

Your purpose is found where your passions meet how you uniquely serve other people…🫶

Your purpose is different from the person next to you and the person next to them. And that’s what makes it so special…

What’s your purpose?

Preparation does not guarantee you success.

But not all failures indicate that you didn’t prepare.

Softball is a game of failure and the sooner that you can come to accept it, the sooner that you will be able to reap the rewards of this game🫶

Your arm shouldn’t force the pitch, it should flow through it🌊

The most effective pitchers are able to create a loose, whippy motion that releases the ball efficiently instead of trying to force and muscle the pitch.

Stay relaxed, stay quick, and let the whip do the work🚀

Early in my career, I thought the difference maker was talent.

I thought the best pitchers just had better stuff. More velocity. Sharper pitches. So I was chasing that every time I stepped on the rubber.

But I remember games where I had everything working and still lost control of the moment.

One bad pitch would turn into two.

Then three.

My tempo would speed up.

My thoughts would get louder.

And suddenly it wasn’t about pitching anymore, it was about trying to fix everything at once.

Then I got to a level where I was surrounded by some of the best pitchers in the world.

And what stood out wasn’t their stuff.
It was how steady they were.

They’d give up a hit and nothing changed.
Miss their spot and nothing changed.
Big moment, same pace, same presence, same intent.

That’s when it clicked for me.

It wasn’t about feeling perfect.
It was about staying the same, no matter what was happening around you.

So I stopped chasing perfect mechanics in games.

I focused on controlling what I could. My tempo, my breath, my next pitch.

And everything started to settle.

That’s the real separator.

Not better stuff.
Just better control of yourself.
