I built it from cedar harvested on my own farm, and shaped every inch so it echoes the wild spirit and earthy richness of the story it surrounds. The wood’s natural warmth and grain are a living part of this piece, grounding the scene in authenticity and memories of my land.

In my studio, where creativity flows as freely as the coastal breeze, I've crafted something truly special—my latest artwork "Kachinacoons." Here, three raccoons, adorned in sacred headdresses, stand beside a totem pole, embodying the spirit and stories of ancient times. ‘Old Timer’ has been a project I have been working on behind the scenes for some time. It is #6 in my successful Bird dog series. Just in time for Fathers Day. The rust and patina on the Ol Truck was a lesson in patience in itself, but love the overall mood of this piece, on a cloudy hazy day. I even hand built the frame just for this piece. School is out and this family had a great time in the gallery. Visiting from Dallas, they enjoyed all the gift items, from Theo, coasters, T-shirts, and small watercolor art.
