With the beginning of the summer season coming up, just wanted to put out a reminder, we want you and your family to have a blast, but please, be respectful of our wildlife and their home!!!

Please remember that the beautiful creatures we find in the Gulf are living animals — not souvenirs or photo props. 🌊⭐

Starfish, sand dollars, sea urchins, and other marine life can be seriously harmed or killed when removed from the water, even for just a few minutes. Many of them breathe through tiny structures that must stay underwater and moist to survive. Handling them, exposing them to heat and sun, or passing them around for pictures can cause extreme stress and damage that we may not immediately see.

If you find something amazing at the beach, the best way to appreciate it is to admire it gently where it belongs — in the water and in its natural habitat. A quick photo without removing it is a much safer choice.

Our Gulf’s ecosystem is delicate, and every small creature plays an important role. Please respect them and their home!!!
