This week was Dr. Seuss’ 122nd birthday! His beloved children’s books have inspired , a week celebrating the stories that make young people fall in love with reading! To this day, Seuss’ books are often some of the first a child will read.

Today is , a day dedicated to fostering a love of reading in children across the country. To celebrate, we’re highlighting some of the the children’s and middle grade books that have been loved most by young readers right here at Sundog Books!

For young children just learning to read, we recommend Bluey: The Beach, Seaside A-Z, and the works of Eric Carle!

For middle grade readers, we recommend the Dog Man series, Impossible Creatures, and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series!
