Huge thank you to Ella Dawley and NeuroTalent Works for such a thoughtful, engaging, and genuinely meaningful conversation💛
One of my biggest takeaways:
“Accommodations start with self-awareness—identify your strengths, your challenges, and then ask: what would make this 10x easier?”
We talked a lot about how:
* You’re not asking to avoid your job—you’re asking for the tools to do it better
* The question “what energizes me vs. what drains me?” can unlock real, practical support
* And that self-advocacy starts with knowing yourself—and giving yourself permission to ask for what you need
I’m also so excited to dive into Ella’s book Guerrilla Mode. if it’s anything like the insight and authenticity she brought to this conversation, it’s going to be powerful.
So grateful for the collaboration, the conversation, and this community. Looking forward to many more 💫

This is interesting for me because I’ve used neurospicy before to describe myself. I do agree with some of these points and it’s also allowed me to evolve becoming more aware of how my language can be interpreted.

Autism Vocab you should know. I teach the people I work with about these terms because it gives them the vocabulary to successfully advocate for themselves.
