Santa Fe Workshops free artist talk series returns this summer with two special evening presentations open to the community.

On July 1st, visual artists Holly Roberts, Maura Allen, and Norah Levine explore the expansion of photography beyond the traditional frame and the interplay with the tactile processes that define their work.

On July 22nd, acclaimed photographers Matt Black, Christina Selby, and Todd Hido examine the ways landscapes shape our lives, identities, and experiences, offering a distinct perspective on the connections between people and the environments they inhabit.

We invite you to join us for craft, vision, and inspiration from these six remarkable visual artists.

We are so excited to announce the two scholarship recipients for Gabriela Campos’ The Living West .e.campos workshop this summer, Mckenzie Lang and Rick Ledesma .rl. Both are incredible photojournalists who possess the ability to visually convey a photographic essence that resonates beyond sight. Ahead of our first week of the 2026 summer workshop season, we’d like to welcome both talented photographers to Santa Fe!

Mckenzie Lange is a Denver-based freelance photojournalist currently contracting with Colorado Public Radio. She has had a long and storied relationship with New Mexico. Enticed by the light, Mckenzie ventured to the Land of Enchantment during her college years on a quest to photograph Chimayo and the Sikh temple in Española. She will be attending Gabriela Campos’ The Living West workshop to reignite her passion for the region, diverse culture, and connect with fellow photographers.

Rick R. Ledesma is a 1st Gen Mexican-American / Chicano photographer born in Oxnard, California. Having spent over a decade in Arizona, he picked up his first digital camera and started documenting the lives of community members. Now living in Las Vegas, he has collaborated with various communities within Nevada, helping document current issues and supporting cultural awareness projects & events.

The focus is on the camera’s advanced focus and exposure systems, covering autofocus modes, manual focus techniques, and exposure settings for perfectly balanced photos.
